Web Studio Services

Web Studio Services

What to Expect

Studio is our fixed-scope "lift and shift" service that rebuilds your current winery website on a native Shopify theme. To keep your project on time, we need you to supply a number of items before and during migration. This article outlines everything you need to provide, grouped by category.

The faster and more completely you can supply the items below, the smoother your migration will be.

Before we get to what you need to supply, here's a quick reminder of what Studio delivers from our side:

What's Included in Studio Lite

  • Installation and styling of Winehub app components on your storefront.

  • Transactional emails set up in Winehub.

  • One round of revisions before go-live.

  • 2-hour POS Connect and Compliance Connect (USA) remote setup.

Your Supply Checklist

Below is everything you need to supply, organised in the order we'll typically need it during the migration. Your dedicated Winehub migration manager will walk you through each stage.

Admin & Access

  • Shopify store access: either collaborator access to an existing store, or approval to set up a new one.

  • Domain registrar / DNS access (required for go-live and email authentication).

  • A sending email domain for transactional email (so we can configure SPF and DKIM records).

  • Notification of intent to leave your current platform (lodged ASAP so payment token exports can begin in week 1).

  • A single point of contact at the winery, plus named stakeholders with authority to sign off on each review.

  • Your target go-live date and any non-negotiable deadlines (allocation releases, scheduled club runs, vintage launches, events).

Brand & Design Assets

  • Logo files (vector preferred .svg, .eps, or .ai plus light and dark variants) .
  • Bottle images: png with transparent background in spec 2048 x 2048px

  • Brand colours (hex codes) and fonts (font files or licence details if custom).

  • Photography library of all images on your website. Please ensure these are high res quality and labelled with the alt text you wish to maintain

  • Any video assets currently used on your website.

  • Your brand or style guide, if you have one.

Page Copy & Content

For each of the seven included pages, please supply the following content:
  • Home: hero headline, supporting copy, and any section content.
  • About / Winery Info: winery story, history, and team bios.

  • Contact: address(es), phone, email, trading hours, and map details.

  • Visit / Tasting Room / Accommodation / Restaurant: experience descriptions, hours, pricing, and booking links.

  • Wine Club: club name, member perks, frequency, pricing, terms and conditions, and any FAQs.

  • Collection: how you'd like products grouped (by varietal, range, vintage, occasion, etc.).

  • Product Page (PDP): which product fields you want displayed (varietal, region, vintage, tasting notes, food pairings, ABV, awards).

Idea
If the current copy has been updated recently, and to prevent any delays, we can proceed with directly replicating the copy from the current website

Product Catalogue

  • Complete product list with SKU, name, vintage, varietal, region, price, weight, and stock on hand (if using Winehub for inventory tracking).
  • Product imagery (label shots, hero shots, and any lifestyle imagery).
  • Tasting notes, technical sheets, and awards.
  • Pack configurations (singles, 6-packs, 12-packs, mixed cases).

  • Allocation or limited-release rules, if applicable.

Alert

Please complete Bulk-Product-Upload CSV below with all information

Wine Club & Customer Data

Back-end data migration is quoted separately based on terms negotiated in your SLA. You'll need to supply:

  • Completed migration intake form.

  • Export of club members and membership tiers.

  • Non-member customer list.

  • Order history (used for lifetime value calculations).

  • Customer notes.

  • Stored payment methods (migrated via Stripe, see the Migration Overview article for the token process).

  • Club billing settings and frequency rules.

  • Reservation service details (so we can configure the connection).

Idea
Tip: We can only migrate data as it presents in your origin system. Taking the time to clean your customer, club, and product data before export will significantly reduce the time and cost of migration.

Commerce, Shipping & Compliance

  • Shipping zones, carriers, and rates - to be set up by you according to your requirements.
  • Tax setup details - to be set up by you according to your requirements.
  • Payment gateway preferences (Shopify Payments, Stripe, etc.) - to be set up by you, we can help with integrations.

  • For USA wineries: compliance details for the 2-hour POS Connect and Compliance session, licence info, state shipping rules, and age verification preferences.

  • Details of any POS hardware or software currently in use.

  • Refund, returns, shipping, and privacy policy text.

SEO & Continuity

  • Top-performing URLs from your current site, so we can map 301 redirects and preserve search traffic.

  • Meta titles and descriptions you'd like preserved.

  • Access to Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

  • Existing blog content, if you'd like it migrated.

  • Social media handles for the header and footer.

Idea
While we aim for a seamless transition of your current design, moving to Shopify may introduce slight UI/UX enhancements inherent to the platform. These variations typically result in a refreshed and revitalised user experience that feels more modern and intuitive.

Timing & Preparation

With Winehub Studios your site is designed to go live in approximately 4 weeks. A few timing items are outside our control and therefore critical to kick off early,

Alert
Critical: Inform your current platform of your intent to leave as soon as you've confirmed you're proceeding with Winehub. This allows us to lodge the relevant paperwork and begin the payment token export process within the first few days. Some platforms (like Commerce7) take 4–6 weeks to release tokens, Winehub has no influence over these external response times.

Idea
Your Winehub migration manager will be working closely with you to meet deadlines and flag any blockers. Timely responses from your team keep everything on track.

Next Steps

Once you have signed your SLA your migration manager will be in touch to walk you through this checklist and confirm your timeline.

We look forward to supporting you through this project!
