Card on File Transactions
If a customer account has a saved credit card in Shopify, you have the ability to charge this card for a one-off purchase via Winehub. Different laws apply in different parts of the world about processing a payment against a saved credit card, so make sure this is permitted in your part of the world before using this feature. Any purchases using this feature will be included in Winehub 'managed revenue'.
This feature can also be used for non-club members, but a few restrictions apply. Check the guidelines below for charging non-club members.
To create the one-off order, navigate to the customer's page in Winehub and scroll down to the create section.
Selecting Create General Order will open a similar layout to creating a subscription however this will only create a single one-off order for the customer and charge their card immediately.

Vaulting & Charging a Saved Card for Non-Members
You are able to use this feature to charge a non-member if they have previously been a member of a club and valid credit card details are still saved in Shopify. However, if the customer does not have any saved card details, then you can only vault new credit card details against a customer record if you use the Winehub
Stripe Integration. This is because Shopify does not allow vaulting a new card outside of actual membership signup.
If you are using the Stripe integration, follow these instructions to vault the customer's credit card;
- The customer’s full name, address and contact details must first be created in Shopify.
2. Vault the Customer’s Payment Card in Winehub
- Navigate to the customer’s record in Winehub.
- Scroll down and select the Create tab to securely save the payment card details
3. Create the Subscription in WineHub
- Follow the steps above to process a one-off transaction
