Frequency Pricing

Frequency pricing determines the price customers pay for their club membership based on their chosen delivery frequency. For example, a bi-annual delivery frequency might offer a 15% discount, while quarterly deliveries might provide a 20% discount.

Visibility Settings:

  • Default Behavior: Frequency pricing is hidden in product displays to save screen space.
  • Optional Toggle: You can display frequency pricing by toggling the visibility switch (see below)

Frequency Pricing Options

1. Basic (Global Discount)

The most common way to apply a discount is via a global discount tied to the delivery frequency. This discount applies to all products in the club.

Setup Instructions:

  • Add a discount for each delivery frequency you create.
  • If the same discount applies across all frequencies, repeat it for each one.

Example:

  • Quarterly: 20% off all products.
  • Bi-annually: 10% off all products.


2. Advanced Pricing (Custom)

For more precise control, you can set custom pricing for each product based on the delivery frequency. This method allows you to apply either a percentage discount or a fixed price to individual products.

Setup Instructions:

  1. Ensure no global discount is applied to any frequency.
  2. Enable Custom Pricing using the toggle under the frequency settings box (see below).
  3. Choose between a percentage discount or a fixed price for each product and frequency.
  4. Activate View Frequency Pricing under the Wine Club Products section (see below).
  5. Edit each product to specify its price for each frequency.
  6. Save your changes.

Benefits of Custom Pricing:

  • Fine-grained control over pricing for specific products and frequencies.
  • Ideal for clubs offering premium or exclusive wines with variable discounts.
