Gift Club Memberships

Gift Club Memberships

Winehub allows you to create wine clubs that are specifically designed to be sold as gift memberships. These clubs can be configured with a fixed number of deliveries, after which the membership will automatically end - making them ideal for gifting without ongoing commitments.

This approach is commonly used for offerings such as a 12-month wine club gift, where the recipient receives a predefined number of deliveries over a set period.

How gift club memberships work

Gift club memberships use the Max Shipments setting within a wine club to control how many deliveries are included.

For example:

  • A quarterly club with a maximum of 4 shipments can be sold as a 12-month gift.

  • You can also set a minimum number of orders (for example, 2) to allow the purchaser to choose between multiple delivery options, such as 2, 3, or 4 shipments.

Once the maximum number of shipments has been fulfilled, the membership will automatically end and no further orders will be generated.

Setting up a gift club membership

To configure a wine club for gifting:

  1. Create a new wine club or open an existing club you’d like to use for gifting.

  2. Scroll down to the settings under the Description area.

  3. Enable the Max Shipments toggle.

  4. Enter:

    • The minimum number of orders allowed, and

    • The maximum number of orders included in the membership.

  5. Save your changes.

Your club can now be sold as a gift with a defined end point based on the number of deliveries.

Tips and considerations

  • Gift clubs work best with fixed case or clearly defined club configurations to keep fulfilment simple.

  • Make sure your club description clearly explains how many deliveries are included so purchasers know exactly what they’re buying.

  • Each gift club order is processed separately at the configured price which means that a quarterly gift club membership would result in 4 separate transactions
