Additional First Order Purchases

The Additional First Order Purchases feature allows new members to add extra products to their initial membership sign-up order. This can be configured to include all products or a curated selection chosen by you. This feature is particularly beneficial in cellar doors and tasting rooms, as it enables customers to take more wine home (beyond their club order) without needing a separate transaction.

Important Notes

  • Applies only to the first order. These additional purchases are not included in regular club shipments.
  • Club discounts apply. Any club-specific discount is automatically applied to all additional purchases.
  • By default, all products published to the Online Store sales channel will be included in the catalogue unless specifically excluded.
  • Works in conjunction with Sign up Offers if you want to use both features.

How to Set Up Additional First Order Purchases

Step 1: Configure the Catalogue

  1. Go to Settings > Sign Up App Settings > Product Catalogue
  2. Add any exclusions (all product will be included unless excluded).
  3. Set priority products to appear first in the catalogue (optional).

Step 2: Activate for a Wine Club

  1. Navigate to the Wine Club settings page.
  2. Locate the Enable Additional First Order Purchases toggle.
  3. Activate it for the specific Wine Club.


How the Catalogue Works

  • Products function like addons and inherit the general club discount (even if they are not regular 'club' products)
  • If you don't want club discount applied, be sure to exclude the product (see above)
  • Customers see the catalogue during their initial sign-up on the summary page.
  • Additional purchases are included in the first shipment only.
  • Product filters apply only to options available within your product catalogue.


By enabling this feature, you can reduce friction in purchasing additional products and increase revenue from new members right from their first order.
