Loyalty tiers are an excellent tool to encourage regular spending and foster loyalty. By offering exclusive benefits, you can motivate customers to engage more frequently and increase their lifetime value. Loyalty tiers can be configured to integrate seamlessly with Wine Clubs, amplifying their impact on customer satisfaction and retention.
There are two different types of loyalty tiers - Standard Tiers and Standalone Tiers - that are used for different purposes.
Standard Tiers (Dynamic)
Automatically move customers between tiers based on conditions you define, such as: spend, wine club membership, or newsletter subscription status.
Standard tiers include built-in automation and email communication to encourage customers to maintain or upgrade their status. This eliminates admin effort, keeping the process efficient and customer-focused.
Example: Bronze-Silver-Gold Loyalty Program
- Bronze Tier: Spend $100 in 90 days to unlock 5% off all purchases. Spend another $100 during this period to maintain the benefits.
- Silver Tier: Spend $200 in 90 days to upgrade to 10% off all purchases. Maintain by spending $200 every 90 days.
- Gold Tier: Spend $300 in 90 days to enjoy 15% off all purchases. Maintain by spending $300 every 90 days.
Standalone Tier (Fixed)
Customers are manually added or removed from Standalone tiers. This model is ideal for recognising VIPs or offering unique benefits that are not related to dynamic criteria.
Example: VIP Lifetime Discount
- a VIP is offered 20% off all purchases for life, regardless of spending activity, Wine Club membership, or subscription status.
Benefits of Loyalty Tiers
- Encourage Repeat Purchases: Customers are motivated to spend regularly to maintain or upgrade their tier.
- Reward Loyalty: Create an emotional connection by recognising customers for their support.
- Increase Customer Lifetime Value: Exclusive perks encourage larger and more frequent purchases.
Customer Tracking of Loyalty Tiers
Customers can view their tier upgrade progress and any milestone rewards by logging into their customer portal.
