What's New in Winehub?


Welcome to our overview of what's new in Winehub!

This is where you can keep up to date with the latest features and updates to Winehub. Each month, we’ll add details of new and enhanced functionality to keep you informed about improvements and innovations.

Recent Updates

  1. New Email Variables
    You can now include shipment cost, delivery instructions, and payment details in your 'Close to Shipment' email template in Winehub.  These new variable fields are also available via the Klaviyo integration.

  2. POS Card on File Shipping
    You can now use Card on File transactions in Shopify POS for shipping orders, not just pickup. This gives you more flexibility, allowing staff to securely process and ship orders on the spot while maintaining a seamless customer experience across fulfilment types.

  3. POS Addition First Order Purchases
    You can now search products more easily within Additional First Order Purchases in Shopify POS. The primary display for Additional First Order Purchases in POS now also matches your website’s product ordering settings for these products. Read more.
  1. Manual Shipment Reporting
    You can now manually mark club shipments as paid when processed outside of Winehub. This ensures your reporting remains accurate without needing to skip shipments, giving you a clearer view of revenue and customer activity across your club runs.

  2. Customer Insights
    You can now view loyalty tier, lifetime value, and days until upcoming birthdays directly within customer profiles. This makes it easier to identify high-value customers and personalise engagement.

  3. System Status
    You can now view the status of key systems directly within General Settings. System features - such as discounts, billing, membership tiers, referrals, and email - are now clearly displayed in one central location giving you immediate visibility into what’s active and running, helping you quickly diagnose issues or confirm configurations.
  1. Club Run Navigation
    You can now filter club runs by shipping method and jump directly to customer contracts by clicking on the customer's name, making it much easier to navigate your club runs.

  2. Administration Reports Navigation
    The Admin section has been reorganised into clear categories, making it faster to find the insights you need without digging through long lists. You can also pin frequently used reports, creating a personalised workspace that surfaces the data most relevant to your day-to-day operations.

  3. Loyalty Club Condition Override
    You can now automatically remove customers from a loyalty tier as soon as they no longer meet the associated club condition, regardless of the tier expiry date. This ensures your tier structure stays aligned with active club participation, protecting the integrity of your loyalty program and rewarding only genuinely engaged members.

  4. Daily Summaries: New Subscriptions
    You can now receive a daily admin summary of all new subscriptions. This feature sends a daily overview of newly created Wine Club and general subscriptions, giving you clear visibility of growth without running manual reports. Read more.

  5. Club Run Notification
    You will now see a warning if you attempt to run a club shipment more than one week in advance of the scheduled date. This added safeguard helps prevent accidental early processing of future-dated club runs, protecting your delivery schedules and preserving a smooth customer experience.

  6. Klaviyo Field Updates
    You can now sync Club Referral Code, Last Reservation Date and Event Name directly into Klaviyo via the Winehub integration. These additional data points strengthen your segmentation and automation capabilities, but you may need to resync with Klaviyo to ensure the new fields populate across all existing customer profiles.

  7. Contract Status Update
    You can now clearly distinguish between draft and active contracts in Winehub. Contracts that haven’t yet been activated in Shopify will now display as “draft” instead of “active”, making it much easier for new customers to filter records and quickly identify any contracts that may have failed migration.

  8. CRV Tax
    US based wineries now have the ability to charge California Redemption Value (CRV) tax on applicable products in recurring club shipments. Simply activate the settings in General Settings > Order Processing Settings. Read more.

  9. Free Product Workaround
    In some regions, it is not permitted to offer alcohol free of charge as a purchase incentive. In these cases, you can enable a setting to apply a small token charge (e.g. $0.01) to “Free Product” perks within Wine Clubs or Loyalty Programs. Read more.

  10. Dashboard Accuracy Improvements
    Previously, the dashboard included subscriptions that had not been successfully activated in Shopify - often due to payment issues during migration. This could inflate your numbers and create confusion around actual recurring revenue. The dashlet has now been refined to count only subscriptions that are active in both Winehub and Shopify.

  11. Emails in Membership Timeline
    You can now see a complete record of automated emails directly within the membership timeline. Every time an email is triggered for sending - whether it’s sent via Winehub or delivered through Klaviyo - it will now appear in the timeline for that member.

  12. Subscription Edit Search
    You can now quickly find specific wines when editing the products in a wine club subscription. A new search field has been added to the subscription edit view, making it easy to locate individual products even if your club includes a large range.

  1. Staff Attribution Reporting
    Staff Attribution Reporting now includes enhanced detail and downloadable reports, allowing you to view individual sales with associated staff members and see total sales per staff member over a selected period, all from the Administration menu. Learn more.

  1. Winback Flow
    Winback Flow is an automated re-engagement system that helps you turn skipped shipments into recovered opportunities and reduce lost revenue.  This new feature gives you the tools to create targeted re-engagement campaigns with discount incentives and skip-reason segmentation. Learn more.

  2. Update Staff Attribution
    You can now update Staff Attribution directly in a customer’s contract. Open the customer’s record, select Edit, then scroll to the Staff Attribution section to add or update the assigned staff member. This keeps sales and sign-up attribution accurate even when details change after the initial contract is created.

  3. Wine Club Switching
    You can now seamlessly transfer an active wine club membership to a different club without cancelling the subscription, preserving member history and continuity. This Club Switching feature maintains shipment schedules and avoids the frustration of cancelled contracts by keeping order history intact while updating club offerings. Read more.

  4. Custom Addresses in Adhoc Orders
    You can now enter a custom delivery address when creating general orders via Winehub. Previously restricted to the customer's default address, you now have full address flexibility on adhoc orders. This update makes it easier to accommodate gift purchases, event deliveries, and one-off shipping preferences without needing to change customer Shopify records.

  5. Enhanced Main Menu
    You can now open key Winehub sections in a new window using the icon next to primary menu items. This small tweak is a big win for multitaskers—manage wine clubs, check analytics, and update settings simultaneously without losing your place.

  6. Advanced Analytics
    We’ve made it easier to dive into your performance data by moving the Advanced Analytics reports to the top of the Dashboard. No more scrolling - just quick access to powerful insights that help you track club performance, forecast subscription revenue, and fine-tune your marketing strategies with confidence.

  7. Exclusive Products Expiry
    You can now set an expiry date for exclusive products linked to a loyalty tier. This gives you more control over how long loyalty customers can access exclusive items, allowing you to create time-sensitive offers that drive action and improve product release management.

  8. Upcoming Shipments
    A new 'Upcoming Shipments' tab has been added to the Customer Profile in Winehub, giving you faster, clearer visibility over each customer’s pending wine club orders. This makes it easier to proactively manage customer expectations and any make last-minute edits.

  9. Bulk Compliance Management
    We’ve introduced additional new tools within the Compliance Administration table, allowing you to manage compliance actions in bulk. Whether you're approving, rejecting, or modifying compliance entries, these bulk tools are designed to save time, reduce manual input, and improve accuracy across your compliance operations.

  1. Enhanced POS Discount Display
    In ad hoc POS orders, perk discounts now display against each individual product instead of being silently deducted from the price. This change improves clarity for both staff and customers by making discount applications fully visible at the product level.

  2. Order Creator Improvements
    The interface for creating ad hoc orders in Winehub has been enhanced. You can now remove unwanted products more easily and apply custom discounts to individual items during order creation. This provides greater flexibility and control when processing one-off customer orders.

  3. Compliance Auto-Retries
    Failed compliance checks are now automatically retried if the issue was due to a poor API response. This eliminates the need for manual intervention in many cases and helps ensure that valid orders are not unnecessarily delayed.

  4. Compliance Management
    You can now control the visibility of quarantined orders in Winehub. Resolved quarantined orders can be hidden from view, allowing you to focus only on orders that still require attention. This enhancement makes compliance workflows more efficient and reduces clutter in high-volume periods.

  5. Admin Notification Emails
    We've introduced new optional admin emails allowing you to receive a notification email for key customer events. These emails will allow you to act faster and reduce churn risk. Read more.

  1. Customer Portal Card Vaulting
    You can now enable a Stripe credit card form in the customer portal - similar to what’s available in the Admin Customer Profile. This is particularly handy during platform migration, allowing customers to update failed or missing payment details and activate pending wine club contracts with ease.

  2. Customer Portal Address Updates
    Now, when a customer updates their address in the portal, they are prompted to also apply the change to their Wine Club delivery address. Additionally, customers can now delete outdated addresses - simplifying account management and reducing the chance of delivery errors.

    We've launched a fresh version of the customer portal with a cleaner, more intuitive design - making it easier for customers to manage their memberships and clearly track their progress through loyalty tiers.

  1. Edit/View Contract
    We've improved contract management with a redesigned layout that now opens contracts in a streamlined popup window, rather than a separate page - making edits and reviews faster and more efficient.

  2. POS Connect Layout
    The POS Connect interface has had a tidy-up - making it even easier for staff to create new club memberships directly at point of sale, reducing friction and improving conversion at the cellar door.

  3. Manual Club Processing
    Flexibly manage club runs by overriding Winehub's automatic scheduling. You can cancel and manually process individual runs, or switch all runs to manual mode - giving you full control over when club orders are generated. Read more.

  4. Tag Ad-Hoc Orders
    When creating a one-off order against a saved card using Winehub, you can now automatically apply a Shopify tag. This makes it easier to track and report on ad-hoc orders within your Shopify analytics and workflows.

  5. Email Opt-Out
    A new control on the Customer Page allows you to fully opt a customer out of Winehub emails. Use with caution, as this will stop all Winehub communications—including critical notifications about upcoming shipments.

  6. Straight To Checkout
    Designed for simple clubs with only one product and one frequency, this new feature in the club setup page bypasses the full signup flow and takes members directly to Shopify checkout, streamlining the process for faster membership conversions.

  7. Tier Welcome Emails
    You now have the option to trigger the 'Loyalty Welcome' automatic email when manually adding a customer to a loyalty tier. Simply mark the check box when changing the tier via the customer record.

  8. Customisable Portal Navigation
    Streamline the user experience by hiding tabs that aren't relevant to your members. Simply go to Settings > Customer Portal Settings > Navigation Menu to toggle portal sections on or off—keeping your interface clean, focused, and on-brand.

  9. Language Customisation
    We've made it even easier to tailor the language used in your Winehub Signup App and Customer Portal. Navigate to Settings > Theme within either the Signup App or Customer Portal Settings to customise field labels, headings and more, ensuring a consistent customer experience across every touchpoint.

  10. Manual Club Runs
    Prefer hands-on management? You can now switch to manual club runs for added control over timing and processing. Just enable the setting under Settings > General Settings > Order Processing, then trigger each run manually via the green button on the Club Run page. 

  11. Additional Tenure Member Perks
    Reward loyalty with precision - now you can offer tailored percentage discounts and shipping perks based on how long a customer has been a member. This lets you scale benefits over time, strengthening retention and increasing lifetime value.

  12. Additional POS Connect Settings
    With our new POS Connect settings you can now choose whether functions like Skip, Cancel, Pause, and Edit are visible to your front-of-house team. This gives you the flexibility to tailor permissions based on staff roles or business needs.

  13. Process a Club Order Early
    You can now manually trigger a customer’s next club shipment ahead of schedule - without affecting their regular billing cycle or the broader club run. Ideal for members heading away or requesting an early dispatch, this feature gives you more flexibility to meet individual delivery needs with just a few clicks. Learn more.

  14. Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for Perks
    Now you can specify bottle quantity thresholds for Shipping and Discount perks. Offer benefits like Free Shipping on 12+ bottles or 15% off when purchasing 6+ bottles. Adds flexibility beyond $ based perks to better align with product shipping and sales strategy.

  15. Delay Club Shipment
    Easily postpone the processing of individual club orders by selecting a new shipment date directly within the customer’s subscription panel. Ideal for accommodating customer travel or delivery preferences without disrupting billing cycles.

  16. Bulk Swap Actions
    Easily replace products or standardise upcoming shipments across all clubs with the new Bulk Product Swap and Bulk Shipment Swap tools — perfect for managing vintage rollovers, supply constraints, and curated seasonal offers at scale.

  17. Dashboard & Analytics Interface
    We've overhauled the Dashboard and Analytics section in Winehub, making it much easier to navigate and personalise. You can now customise your dashboard and view key analytics in a variety of formats to suit your requirements.

  18. Charge a Card on File
    You can now charge saved cards directly from Winehub—no invoices, no links, no third-party tools—making phone and email orders fast, secure, and seamless. Ideal for VIP sales, this feature supports both club members and casual customers in just a few clicks.

  19. POS Connect
    We've launched Winehub POS Connect to streamline club sign-ups in your Tasting Room. Staff can now use Shopify POS to create the customer's club selection, then securely hand off payment to their mobile device via a QR code - no physical card required.

  20. Tenure & AOV
    On the Customer Contracts page in Winehub, you can now see the tenure of club members (ie. length of membership) and the AOV (Average Order Value) for club orders. These new fields are also included in contract export CSV.

  21. Customer Profile Layout & Member Timeline
    We've revised the layout of the Customer Profile in Winehub, making it easier to navigate with a new tabbed layout. We've also introduced the Member Timeline (accessible from Customer Profile) that outlines key events such as Club Sign-up, Order placed, Loyalty Tier Upgraded etc

  22. Basic Mode
    We've introduced 'Basic Mode' on the club setup screen to strip away all of the advanced features and just let you create a very simply wine club in a couple of minutes. You can toggle on Advanced Mode at any time if you'd like to use any of the other hidden features. 

  23. Streamlined Menu
    Winehub has grown so much over the last year that we decided to streamline our main menu. Menu items have now been grouped together under more logical headings and the Bulk Product Swap feature now has it's own menu link.

  24. Calendar Year Spend
    Customer spend in your loyalty tier configuration can now be measured either over a calendar year or a set time period.


  25. Tier Start Date in Bulk Upload
    You can now specify the 'tier start date' when bulk uploading customers to a Membership (Loyalty) Tier. This is helpful when transitioning loyalty benefits from another system.

  26. Wine Club Contracts by Product
    You can now generate an exportable list of wine club members that are subscribed to a specific product. Head to the Administration section in Winehub and select a product from the Product Subscriptions tab.

  27. Powerful New Segment Feature
    When building a Customer Segment, you can now filter customers based on their proximity to their next Membership Tier upgrade. For example, you can now create a segment of customers who are $50 away from the next loyalty tier, or only 2 bottles away from upgrading  - allowing your to make your marketing messages much more targeted.

  28. Subscription Contract Exports
    We have added additional filters on subscription contract exports. You can now filter subscriptions by location data (ie. country, city, state, zip etc) when exporting via the Customer Contracts tab. Use the Toggle Columns button to filter your results.

  29. Additional Order Tagging
    Due to popular demand, orders are now tagged with the Club Name if they are proceed as part of a club run. This allows you to better filter and report on club orders.

  30. Customer Portal Customisations
    You can now hide selected menu items in your Customer Portal, further streamlining the experience for your customers. In the Winehub Seetings > Customer Portal Settings you will now see options to hide Subscriptions, Upcoming Shipments, Allocations and Member Benefits. 

  31. Product Subscriptions Report
    You can now easily view all of your general product subscriptions by product item using the new Product Subscriptions report. Head on over to the Administration section of Winehub where you can report on customers that are subscribed to a specified product.

  32. Re-Order Clubs
    You now have the ability to control what order your clubs are shown in on your website. Simply click the Show Club Order button at the top of the Wine Club page to adjust the display order of the wine clubs.

  33. Exportable Reports
    Key reports in the Administration section of Winehub (ie. Skipped Subscriptions, Cancelled Subscriptions, Failed Billing Attempts & Expired Cards) now have an Export button, allowing you to export your data in CSV format.

  34. Duplicate Product Records
    You now have the ability to duplicate a product record in Winehub. This is particularly useful when loading a new vintage. All fields in the original product will be copied with the exception of SKU and meta fields like Reviews & Awards.

  35. Enhanced Addons Options
    You now have more options when adding Addon Products to your wine club. You can add all products by category, set order increments, and price products by line item (if you are using Custom Pricing). You can also now remove all existing club products from the Addons for a Variable club if you wish.

  36. Membership Tier Custom Expiry Date
    This new feature allows you to add a custom expiry date when you add a customer to a membership tier, giving you more control over your loyalty program.

  37. Extended Addon Pricing Options
    When adding Addon Products to an upcoming club shipment via the backend, you now have the option to apply an available 'perk discount' - giving you more flexibility with pricing your Addon Products.

  38. Small Screen Optimisation
    We've completed a host of optimations to ensure that Winehub performs better on smaller screens, especially for tables and grids.

  39. Club Contract Birth Dates
    Now when you export your wine club contracts, there is a new field with the member's birth date. Please remember that you need to adjust your settings in the Sign Up App if you would like to make birth date a mandatory field in your signup process.

  40. Tags in Product Uploads
    In our bulk product upload tool, you can now include product tags. Simply enter the tags separated by a comma in the product upload template.

  41. Duplicate Products
    You can now duplicate a product record in Winehub, perfect for loading new vintage wines. This will copy all fields into the new product record except for SKU, inventory and metafields such as Reviews & Awards (which are product specific). 

  42. Sync Stripe Card via Customer record
    If you have the Stripe integration activated, you can now sync a customers card details via their customer profile. Previously this was only available for all customers via the Third Party (Stripe) Integration settings, but is now available in the customer record to streamline processes when adding club members manually.

  43. Strikethrough Prices in Signup App
    Due to popular demand, the regular product retail price is now shown with a strikethrough above the member pricing in the Signup App. This is enabled by default, but you can deactivate it via the Signup App settings if you prefer (Settings > Sign Up App > Theme)

  44. Additional First Order Purchases
    The Additional First Order Purchases feature allows wine club members to add extra products to their initial sign-up order. This streamlines the checkout process, ensures club discounts are applied, and encourages higher order values from the very first transaction.

  45. Timezone Support
    You can now set your timezone in Winehub and choose the time you would like your club runs to process. Simply go to Settings > General Settings > System Features, scroll to the bottom and set both your timezone and club processing time.

  46. Activity Monitor
    Some functions in Winehub (eg. product swaps, changing membership tier criteria etc) can take a while to complete, especially if you have a large number of members. The new Activity Monitor in the main menu allows you to keep track of any activities that are running in the background. 

  47. Unskip an Order
    You can now 'unskip' an order if you want to process a club order that was previously skipped - even if the club run date has already passed. 'VIEW' the customer record, scroll down to the 'Previous Shipments' section and click the 'Unskip Shipment' button.

  48. New Dashboard Widgets
    New widgets on the Winehub dashboard allow you to see a quick summary of new signups, skips and cancellations for time period that you choose. You can also see a summary of revenue for Wine Clubs, Membership Tiers and your Top 3 Products.

  49. Enhanced Klaviyo Integration
    We've updated our Klaviyo integration allowing you to access all Winehub event triggers. This means that you can now send some or all of your Winehub emails via Klaviyo. There are important considerations when sending transactional emails via Klaviyo, so be sure to check our documentation on this.

  50. Staff Attribution
    Our new optional Staff Attribution feature allows you to track new membership signups by staff member. If you activate this feature, you can view staff sales performance via a new report in the Admin section of Winehub. 

  51. Revised Settings Layout
    Winehub is so customisable, that some of our settings pages were getting very large and complex. We've now made everything much easier to find with a streamlined layout and tabbed sections that make adjusting your settings simpler.

  52. Introducing our new Support Portal
    We’ve launched a brand-new, comprehensive Support Portal to ensure you get the most out of Winehub. Accessible from every page of the app via our new support widget, the support portal is your go-to for help guides, FAQs, and more.

  53. Ticketing System Now Live
    Customer support just got even easier! Our new support widget and ticketing system allows you to submit queries directly from any page within Winehub. This streamlined process will help us to resolve your issues faster and more efficiently.

  54. 'Product Type' Spend in Membership Tiers
    We’ve enhanced our Membership Tiers with product-type spend requirements. This new feature allows you to tailor spend thresholds to specific product types, like $2000 on "Wine" only, excluding other General product types such as platters or tasting fees.   1. New Administration Reports
    Manage your wine club more effectively with new reports for Low Stock Products, Skipped Subscriptions, Cancelled Subscriptions, and Expired Cards. Stay proactive with these insights to optimise your operations. Learn more about Administration Reports.

  2. Just For You
    Take personalisation to the next level with the new 'Just For You' feature! This mini-allocation tool lets you offer exclusive products directly in a customer’s portal, tailored just for them. Perfect for creating unique, one-on-one buying experiences. Just For You can be found in the Customer Profile.

  3. Staff Users
    The new standalone staff portal offers an overview of membership benefits without granting access to sensitive customer details, making it ideal for casual or part-time staff. Easily create new staff users and streamline operations. Learn more about Staff Users.
